Concept: The Future of Energy
The concept relies on the location of this convention, using an Eco-friendly motor to show that energy is still moving towards the future of resources. The motor will exude different forms depending the speakers or the panels, e.g. textural music or record player forms for DJ sets, wellness for health panels, and more. The use of colors would reflect the categories.
Notes on the process
In track relay races, there's a saying that teams are only as fast as their third leg. This isn't a weakness. Where one leg of the race is faster, the third is better on the turn and handing off the baton. I feel that on many of my frames in this project, I tried too much and had to dial back my designs and finding simpler solutions. My designs did not always work. I feel that the effort I've put in to getting the project to this state has improved my eye for detail in compositions and consideration of typography.
